This Introduction to Fermented Foods class includes information on what fermented foods are, why they are good for you, and a demonstration on how to make your own sauerkraut and kimchi! 

This class will be held on Saturday, March 19th from 2:00 - 3:30pm at the Uma Center (located at 414 Jefferson St. in Moscow). It is $20 for Community Members and $15 for Co-op Owners.

Instructor Bio: "Healing my health naturally led me to adopt the principles of natural health. I have taught workshops throughout the Willamette Valley at Natural Grocers, Loves Natural Foods in Ormond Beach and Port Orange, and most recently Abundant Life foods in Hilo. I have written three continuing education courses for nurses on thyroid, Hashimotos thyroiditis from a holistic perspective and probiotics. I host a podcast called ""Health Begins at Home"" and have a weekly post via subscription called "Home Care Tip of the Week" I am currently collaborating on a children's book on gut health" - Brooke Lounsburry, RN and Co-op Owner
