This class series is an Introduction to Gut Health and holistic ways to take care of ourselves through lifestyle choices and nutrition.

The series consists of 3 classes, each 1.5 hours long. All classes are on a Tuesday from 5:30 - 7:30pm . The entire series is only $25 for Co-op Owners and $30 for Community Members.

During the first class participants will begin to discuss and learn about basic anatomy/physiology of the gut, how our lifestyle choices affect our gut health, and (time permitting) a primer on probiotics and prebiotics and their uses.

All classes in this series are held in partnership with Latah County Extension at the Latah County Fairgrounds Kitchen (located at 1021 Harold Street in Moscow) from 5:30 - 7:30pm

During Parts 2 & 3 of this series you will learn about fermented foods and why fermented foods are an ideal way to get your probiotics . There will be how-to demos with recipes and more information on probiotic supplements such as which ones you should or shouldn't be taking.

Instructor Bio: "Healing my health naturally led me to adopt the principles of natural health. I have taught workshops throughout the Willamette Valley at Natural Grocers, Loves Natural Foods in Ormond Beach and Port Orange, and most recently Abundant Life foods in Hilo. I have written three continuing education courses for nurses on thyroid, Hashimotos thyroiditis from a holistic perspective and probiotics. I host a podcast called ""Health Begins at Home"" and have a weekly post via subscription called "Home Care Tip of the Week" I am currently collaborating on a children's book on gut health" - Brooke Lounsburry, RN and Co-op Owner
