What is a strategic plan?

A strategic plan is a roadmap to an organization’s future, which defines its direction and aspirations, and helps to determine how resources (including money and people) will be allocated in the future. Simply put, strategic planning determines where an organization is going over the next year or more, how it’s going to get there, and how it’ll know if it got there or not.
