Here at the Moscow food Co-op we aim to bring in a diverse selection of products to meet our owners’ and customers’ equally diverse needs. Our goal is to sell the freshest, highest quality foods at the most competitive prices possible. We evaluate products on a variety of levels as follows: We look for products that reflect our mission, vision, and values and support our local economy whenever possible. We strive to balance certified “organically” grown with the more local “naturally grown.” We look for products that promote our common values of economic and social justice. Preference is given to products that minimize packaging yet are eye catching and appealing to a broad range of customers. We will not carry items that contain preservatives or artificial ingredients * [see complete list at the end] while considering special dietary needs such as wheat and gluten intolerance and diabetes.
Our buyers are passionate about seeking out the freshest, most healthful products possible, ones that reflect our deepest values. Co-ops support products and services that ensure personal and planetary health; a legacy we can be proud to leave our children and generations to come.
