Candidate Statement:
Sueann Ramella

Hello. I’m Sueann Ramella and would like to serve on your Moscow Co-op Board. I believe in active engagement in service to community and society. Most recently, I worked in public broadcasting, a field I believe should exist in service to the American people. I am seeking to continue giving back by serving an organization that aligns with my core values of honesty, equality, and equity. While these values are inspiring words, they require intentional action in practice which can be hard.

I believe we can do the hard work and strengthen communities and create meaningful purpose. I have over two decades of nonprofit experience, including navigating state, university, and corporate systems while maintaining morale and commitment to mission. As a manager within a statewide media organization, I gained experience in governance, strategic planning, and collaborative decision-making. This work required balancing regulatory and operational demands with the human needs of staff and the audience, ensuring goals were met with people and community at the heart.

My leadership style is grounded in strong interpersonal skills, active listening, and humility. I value diverse perspectives and input in service of the mission. I am a big-picture thinker who understands that progress depends on careful attention to steps and details, while keeping humanity at the center of the process. I am comfortable making difficult decisions when necessary and speaking truth to power when the mission or values are at stake.

I am motivated to serve on the Moscow Co-op Board because I believe in organizations that work for the collective good, often benefiting people they may never meet. I find great satisfaction in groups of individuals coming together to accomplish shared goals. Serving on your board would be an honor.
